How have you adapted to life in the new normal?
I would say that I am embracing the current situation and adapting well to the changes as it comes along. I believe we are still in the midst of transitioning with the worldwide vaccination roll-out and rules. Changes are happening at a fast pace around the world. Change is inevitable and it will continue.
Enhancing our skillsets and learning new knowledge is what I have been doing and I believe the change worldwide allows us to embrace these technology advancements and enables us to learn more effectively as well which is a great thing. With that being said, I do miss live events and also interacting with large group of crowds.
What has been the biggest lesson learnt during the pandemic?
If there is anything more important than money, it would be time. Once time is spent, you can never get it back. I chose to resign from a global multinational corporation after 12 years as I realised my time at the end of the day is more important to me. In order to create the life I want, I need to take the necessary risk and chances to go for it. The decision to resign wasn’t something that happened overnight as I have already planned to do so and it’s a matter of the right time to make that decision.
What is your secret of success?
Success comes from clarity in knowing exactly what to do each day while waking up with the right state physically, mentally, and emotionally. That feeling of positivity, happiness and contentment is a must. To get more of what we don’t have, we need to appreciate what we already have. The feeling of gratitude and positive energy needs to be present and enforces every single thing we do in life – be it relationship, health or career.
Building a strong network and people connection is essential to ensure success in almost every industry. Lastly, we are our best teacher. Develop our observational skills and learn to reflect at our fullest in order to understand the journey we are going through. Appreciate all the lessons (be it good and the bad), friendships, love and blessings we have been given in life.
How do you achieve a work-life balance?
Work-life integrating is what I’m passionate about. I realised that throughout my entire life I was always a curious person and since young my ambition was to be scientist/researcher. Graduating from engineering, having a fair share working in the modelling/ entertainment gives me great insights to learn more about. Being in healthcare and wellness where I not only guide my clients and educate them but by walking the talk and practising the advice helps to ensure that I achieve a work-life balance.
What advice would you give to those who want to follow in your footsteps?
Develop great habits. Start small and one step at a time by achieving small wins daily. One very effective way is to sharpen and hone the physical state through training, nutrition and healthy lifestyle. It will empower other areas and aspects of our lives and enables us to achieve other success in other areas be it attaining wealth, building good relationship and grit to thrive in life.
What is your grooming routine like?
I like to stick to the basics when it comes to skincare. Just like a good meal, we want to minimize any harmful chemicals and ingredients in our skincare product. A good cleanser, toner, moisturizer and lastly sunscreen protection would be a must for me. Also, dietary plays an important role too because the skin health is a reflection of the internal health as well.
Away from work, what forms of wellness do you indulge in?
I think one of the best forms of wellness includes breathing and relaxation techniques which are important especially in today’s fast paced world we lived in filled with information overload and distractions.
What are your goals for the rest of 2021?
To further develop the service that I have just launched and to impact more lives and to serve others as I’ve founded and started the Personalized Healthcare services of Fitxcapes (the B2C service of Fitxcapes) with the goal to helping people to achieve chronic diseases prevention or even reversal. For more on Kit Mah and Fitxcapes, visit https://agerewind.fitxcapes.co/
