Jane Chuck’s journey to become a successful influencer and entrepreneur started when she was just 14 years old. She started off as a blogger, but look at where she is now!
“I slowly stopped blogging when Instagram was introduced to the digital world. Then I moved everything to Instagram and only started YouTube last year,” explained Jane.
With 561k followers on Instagram and 58.3k subscribers on YouTube, that impressive number is not the only thing that measures her success. “My entrepreneur journey started when I was in college; I opened and closed two cafes between the ages of 23 and 27. Now I am running a beauty brand, Chuck’s and a lifestyle brand, Motherchuckers.”
Chuck’s just launched Thank You Gentle Oat Cleanser in early October and like the rest of her products, it has become a bestseller.

It was a struggle when it started as many things had to be shifted to be done at home. There was a lot of anxiety due to many unexpected changes and last-minute planning. Now, I’ve learned how to strategize my content planning better and take one step at a time.
Work-wise, I’ve learned that it is important to adapt when it comes to planning. As for my personal life, I’ve learned how to better channel my energy. Taking care of my mental health was a priority as netizens tend to be more sensitive towards each other on social media.
I’ve always believed that e-commerce is the future. Chuck’s has always been running online since the day we started (our business). Hence, not much has changed. A fun fact: we actually started our merch line Motherchuckers during the pandemic. Most of the people we are working with were hired during the pandemic. The challenging part was digital productions because we’ve been working with talents around the world.
I love how I can grow with my brand. I am always learning new things and breaking boundaries. This makes me feel that the world has no limitations, and the only way to discover is to put myself out there.
My source of inspiration is literally everywhere. The people I talk to, the music I listen to, the funny Instagram accounts I follow. Everywhere.
The secret is to understand that there’s always room for improvement. To know that the environment you surround yourself with is essential. The energy you choose to channel out and decide to take in affects you as an individual; hence be very mindful of how you choose.
Take some time to understand what matters most to you. My path may work for me, but they may not work for someone else. It is essential to learn your own potential, what works for you.
Cleanse, moisturise, sunscreen. Eat mindfully and take rest.
If I can pick all products from Chuck’s, I would! But if I could only choose one, it would be sunscreen. Other must-haves are any Motherchuckers sweater, Hejau Tumeric Matcha Latte, Superboltz coffee concentrate and Grab car because I don’t drive.

I do strength training, spinning and reformer Pilates.
I wish I could do that, but unfortunately, my job depends on it. I’ve learned how to mute/unfollow accounts if I don’t wish to watch their content. I am very picky on the energy I want to receive from social media.
I hope the economy can slowly rebuild by the end of the year.
